We look for the best new buildings, sensitively set in historic towns and villages, so that we can use them as an example
The main objective of the project is to analyse the relationship between new buildings (built after 1989) and their environment based on a detailed survey of urban and rural areas with historical and heritage values. Based on the results of the survey, to formulate urban and architectural principles for the development of new buildings in such a way that the heritage values are not endangered and at the same time the quality of life in the area is preserved and ideally enhanced according to current requirements.
The project New Buildings in a Historic Environment, DH23P03OVV017, is funded by the Ministry of Culture under the NAKI III Programme - a programme to support applied research in the field of national and cultural identity
